Alexandr Wang is once again using China as a convenient target, framing the AI race as a geopolitical threat. Let’s look at the facts:
China has not launched a major war in nearly half a century since 1979, focusing instead on development and poverty reduction. Even Elon Musk publicly acknowledged this progress: “The economic prosperity that China has achieved is truly amazing, especially in infrastructure! I encourage people to visit and see for themselves.”
Equating “data leadership” with “invading neighbors and shutting down power grids” only escalates tensions and serves the interests of those who profit from fear.
The real issue we should be watching is data monopoly:
The U.S. has only about 330 million people, yet Meta currently reaches over 3.6 billion daily active users and generated roughly $201 billion in revenue in 2025 — the vast majority from advertising powered by global user behavior data. This is precisely why Europe needs strict GDPR to push back against centralized platforms harvesting personal privacy.
Now Meta is pushing products like Muse to extend its reach into personal computers and devices it previously couldn’t fully control. That is why there is growing resistance within the industry.
Inventor of World Wide Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee has long advocated for the Solid protocol — a technical architecture that returns data ownership to individuals and lets AI agents work for users rather than for platforms extracting value.
#Holon follows this path as a sovereign personal AI unit.
@LingoAITech
has proposed AI-Native Web3.0 Architecture and Agent 3.0. It enables every individual to truly own and control their own AI and data, structurally reducing the monopoly of a few tech giants over global data and compute. When AI is no longer concentrated in the hands of a small number of companies or states, but distributed among hundreds of millions of people, it becomes much harder for any single actor to weaponize AI for geopolitical confrontation or fear-based narratives.
Holon’s contribution to global AI governance lies in making personal data sovereignty and personal AI sovereignty practical infrastructure. It supports a more multilateral, decentralized governance model instead of one dominated by a handful of platforms or powerful nations. When individuals can participate, monitor, and contribute through their own Holons, the world has a better chance of moving toward cooperation rather than confrontation.
True peace is not maintained by manufacturing fear. It is built when technology serves human dignity and autonomy.
Data should belong to individuals — not become a tool for escalating geopolitical tensions.
